Perfect Layers

I've had a few people who have asked WHERE you can get this AMAZING tool. It USED to be carried by Stampin' Up!, but they retired it in December :( I think many people didn't buy it because they didn't know how to use it.... Anyway, you can buy it from QVC. They have a couple of extra parts to it now, but it's the same concept.

Blog candy!

OK, I BLEW past 1500 last week. I wasn't sure WHAT to give as blog candy, but I have 10 birthday invitations (primary colors) BEGGING for a home. This will NOT be the only goody in the bag, so please leave a comment here and on April 19 I'll pick a winner! Let's see, I don't want any old generic comment, and I LOVE making new friends and visiting other blogs and seeing what everyone is making, so please link me to your FAVORITE card (made by YOU of course)! Good luck!

Fine print - please only one entry per person. Please leave a way to contact you, either e-mail address (you can spell out the AT and DOT so it's not spoofed) or URL to your blog, whichever. Offer valid wherever you are :D

My little boy!

Who is this kid?!? Why, it's Angelo! We went to get a haircut and while we were waiting, there were some teenage boys getting all their hair buzzed off. Angelo was intrigued, plus Michael had his hair cut today. Angelo said he wanted it like Daddy's, so that's what we did. Joyce at our local SuperCuts did a GREAT job. Especially since Angelo was squirming all around (he wouldn't let her near him unless he was sitting in my lap!) I don't even recognize him! LOL

A couple of new cards

Unfortunately, neither of these were made for happy occasions. The first was made for my co-worker who just lost her cat. She had this cat for around 16 years. She had accepted that the cat was going to pass on, but her husband was having a hard time. He wanted to cancel their trip to Florida, but she convinced him to go, and the cat passed while in the care of their house sitter. This card is made using Mellow Moss, Perfect Plum, and Very Vanilla paper. The ink colors are Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow, Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss, and Very Vanilla (sentiment on the bottom and inside). The stamp sets are Heartfelt Thanks, Refuge and Strength (outside sentiment), and Warmest Regards (inside sentiment). The ribbon is Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon.

This next card is for another co-worker. He was admitted to the hospital this week with severe abdominal pain. Well, in the process of finding out what was causing the pain, they found a spot on his lung. While the doctor at the hospital doesn't think it's cancer, he DOES think it may be sarcoidosis, since his father has it.
This card is in River Rock, Soft Sky, and Very Vanilla paper. Everything is stamped in Basic Black. The truck is colored in using ink (from my inkpad) and blender pens. The colors are Basic Black (tires, bumpers, truck liner, and rims), Real Red, Pixie Pink, and Lovely Lilac. The ribbon is Basic Gray Taffeta ribbon.

Oh and on a side note, I'm getting close to 1500 posts. There MAY be some (small) blog candy when I get there.....
